Bluesky
Posts to Bluesky over the AT Protocol.
Fields
| Field | Required | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Handle | yes | Your handle, e.g. you.bsky.social |
| App password | yes | A revocable password created for this purpose. Write-only — saved, never shown again. |
| Service URL | no | Only if you self-host a PDS. Leave blank for bsky.social. |
Connect it
- In Bluesky, go to Settings → App Passwords and create one.
- In Podcode, open Settings → Integrations → Bluesky.
- Enter your handle and paste the app password. Save, then Verify.
What it unlocks
- The
postaction, which publishes text and returns the post's URL. - The
socialagent, which appears in the picker once at least one social integration is configured. It publishes posts you've already approved and drafts new ones from the day's work — and it cannot approve its own drafts, because the approval gate is a file it has no permission to write.
The post length limit is 300 graphemes, checked before an API call is spent — so an emoji sequence that counts as eight code units still counts as one character, and a legal post isn't rejected for being long.
Re-editing
Reopening the form shows your handle but a blank app-password field. Saving without filling it in keeps the existing password. Enter a new one only to replace it — and revoke the old one in Bluesky afterwards.
